This page explains what happens with your data when you visit the Invitation Template site at rainier-ps.github.io/Invitation-Template. The site is a free, open-source template for digital invitations. It is a static website with no accounts and no server-side processing by the site itself.

What this site does not collect

  • No accounts, logins, or personal profiles.
  • No cookies set by this site.
  • No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
  • No data is uploaded to the site author when you browse, edit, or download.

Information stored on your device

The site uses your browser's local storage to remember small preferences, which never leave your device:

  • theme - your light or dark theme choice.
  • motion - whether animations and the carousel are on or off.
  • invitation-tour-complete - whether you have finished or skipped the builder's intro tour.
  • builder-progress - the invitation you are editing in the builder, saved locally while you work.
  • builder-autosave-enabled - whether autosave in the builder is on or off.
  • builder-panel-width - the width you dragged the builder's editor panel to.

You can clear these at any time through your browser's site data settings. The JSON builder runs entirely in your browser. Event details you enter are processed locally and are not sent anywhere by this site.

Third-party services

The site loads a few resources from third parties, which receive standard connection information such as your IP address and browser user agent:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) for typography.
  • GitHub's raw content CDN (raw.githubusercontent.com) for demo preview images.
  • cdnjs.cloudflare.com for the JSZip library used by the builder to create downloads.

Demo invitation pages embed RSVP form providers such as Tally.so. Anything you type into those forms is handled by the form provider and the person who created that form, under their own privacy policies. This site does not see or process those responses.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

External links

The site links to external destinations, such as the GitHub repository, the author's website, Google Maps, and Google Calendar. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

The site is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the site's behavior changes. The update date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. The source of the site is public on GitHub, so you can verify exactly what the site does.
